My name is Daniel Ruffinelli and this is my personal website. I am a Research Engineer at NEC Laboratories Europe, working on Research and Development on AI (i.e. LLMs). In this website, you can find some of my writing about topics related to LLMs, as well as the teaching material I created as a Postdoc, which may be useful for either learning or teaching. Additionally, I post here some other content I may find useful or fun to share (feel free to explore the sidebar for these). Please note the opinions and content in this website do not reflect those of the company I work for.
Prior to my current position, I worked as a Postdoctoral researcher in Natural Language Processing at the University of Mannheim. There, I mostly focused on learning about and understanding large language models (LLMs) by regularly advising and collaborating on a few research projects. In addition, as a postdoc I was responsible for creating a few MSc courses about LLMs and Information Retrieval at the University of Mannheim. Before that, I got a PhD doing machine learning research on learning representations of knowledge graphs.
